How the West Will Fall

Will it be a nuclear war or a land invasion by China or Russia?

China will invade with a robot army!

Climate change will cause species collapse!

Russia will rain down thousands of nuclear warheads!

The nation of Islam’s fifth column will turn on its host countries!

The woke cancel culture mind virus will plunge the West into chaos!

The World Economic Forum and the IMF will disintegrate all national identities!

Take your pick on how the West will fall.

Nearly everyone will be wrong.

Because the thing that will destroy the West likely isn’t any of these things.

(Though the West’s enemies certainly won’t mind picking the dead carcass clean.)

Shakespeare adored England, but his accurate insights about England four centuries ago just as easily describe Western nations today:

This royal throne of kings, this scepter’d isle,
This earth of majesty, this seat of Mars,
This other Eden, demi-paradise,
This fortress built by Nature for herself
Against infection and the hand of war,
This happy breed of men, this little world,
This precious stone set in the silver sea,
Which serves it in the office of a wall,
Or as a moat defensive to a house,
Against the envy of less happier lands,
This blessed plot, this earth, this realm, this England…

…Is now leased out, like a tenement
With inky blots and rotten parchment bonds
That England, that was wont to conquer others,
Hath made a shameful conquest of itself.

Western nations will be destroyed not by a giant invasion and land war, but by the simple and insidious nature of the very monster created by Western elites — by shareholder colonization.

Do China, Russia, Islam, and a handful of hyper-rich globalist families really need to physically sack the US, UK, and the EU when they can just buy all our assets and milk us for centuries instead?

Why export troops when you can import rents and interest and profit?

The West simply cannot come to grips with the truth that capitalism is just financial colonialism.

The West will fall because it is rapidly becoming a slave colony for moneyed elites.

How did this happen?

I blame one of Western civilization’s founding values:

“Freedom.”

Or, more specifically, freedom’s bastardization: 

Hyper-individualist autonomy.

Moral relativity.

Everyone doing what is right in their own eyes.

Living your “truth.”

Dog-eat-dog-survival-of-the-fittest-winner-take-all-loser-dies-damned.

It’s the West’s inability to think about others and practice selflessness and togetherness that will cause the collapse of our civilization.

Ultimately, the thing that will destroy the West will not be physical, or even economic, but spiritual.

The West will die because of individual selfishness.
